Victorian At Heart

I don't know if I believe in souls living previous lives, but if I did live in a previous life, I must have lived in the Victorian Era. I love frilly, lacy things, doilies, and teapots.

Last weekend Louie and I went 'junkin' and hit several thrift shops. I found this teapot, and although it has no markings, I liked the size and shape of it, and had to have it. Today, I finally got around to cleaning it up, rounding up a wooden tray, cloth napkin, doily and silk flower (all thrift store finds) and setting it up on my chair in my living room. Nope, I'm not a hot tea drinker either. I don't wear dresses, and certainly nothing 'frilly'. I guess you wouldn't even say I'm a 'girly girl', but my heart loves this style of living. I love the look of Victorian, and it just makes me feel 'at home'. Here's my thrift store chair sitting next to my free standing electric fireplace. I absolutely love my fireplace, and even though I never run the heater, I almost always run the 'fire'.
