Don't we wish we all could have been like 'The Cleavers'.....I know I do!

Honor your father and mother (which is the first commandment with a promise), so that it may be well with you, and that you may live long on the earth. "They shall say to the elders of his city, ‘This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey us, he is a glutton and a drunkard.’ "Then all the men of his city shall stone him to death; so you shall remove the evil from your midst, and all Israel will hear of it and fear. E. Proverbs for discipline
1. "If your brother sins, go and show him his fault in private; if he listens to you, you have won your brother. "But if he does not listen to you, take one or two more with you, so that by the mouth of two or three witnesses every fact may be confirmed. "If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector. " Matthew 18:15-17

5. "and you have forgotten the exhortation which is addressed to you as sons, "My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, Nor faint when you are reproved by Him; For those whom the Lord loves He disciplines, And He scourges every son whom He receives." It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline? But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. Furthermore, we had earthly fathers to discipline us, and we respected them; shall we not much rather be subject to the Father of spirits, and live? For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, but He disciplines us for our good, so that we may share His holiness. All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness. Therefore, strengthen the hands that are weak and the knees that are feeble, and make straight paths for your feet, so that the limb which is lame may not be put out of joint, but rather be healed. " Hebrews 12:5-13

8. "Discipline your son while there is hope, And do not desire his death. " Proverbs 19:18
9. "Do not hold back discipline from the child, Although you strike him with the rod, he will not die. You shall strike him with the rod And rescue his soul from Sheol. " Proverbs 23:13-14
10. "Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. " Ephesians 6:4
11. "Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; The rod of discipline will remove it far from him. " Proverbs 22:15
12. "For whom the Lord loves He reproves, Even as a father corrects the son in whom he delights. " Proverbs 3:12

18. "The rod and reproof give wisdom, But a child who gets his own way brings shame to his mother. " Proverbs 29:15
19. "Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it. " Proverbs 22:6
20. "What do you desire? Shall I come to you with a rod, or with love and a spirit of gentleness?" 1 Corinthians 4:21
