More Junk, More Fun

Louie and I went junkin' today in Cedar Rapids. We were bombing, big time. There are really only three places we can go on a Sunday in Cedar Rapids, and we bombed at the first two. We got to the last one, and I thought we had bombed there too. We were just about to leave, and I heard a familiar cough. I knew who it was. I turned around, and there was my sweet brother Jack, and sisterinlaw Polly! As we visited and lingered, then I began to find things. I think I must have just needed some female encouragement!

Here is what I found, not particularly in this order, but here they are. A fall colored floral candle ring.
A Partylite Candle holder...
...and a white pumpkin. I don't decorate much for seasons or holidays, but have been wanting some white pumpkins. I found one. Here's my little arrangement all put together. The pumpkin is sitting on top of the candle holder. It sits on my coffee table.
I also found this snowman angel christmas ornament. He had an accident though. I knocked him over, and his head fell off, so it is just sitting atop his shoulders in this photo. I'll have to have it surgically reattached by 'Louie the surgeon'........so he can stand in front of my new Christmas tree, also a Goodwill find. I might just leave the tree alone and display it as it is, or I might decide to shred some colored tissue paper to put inside it for color, since it comes apart. If you look closely, you can see the bottom is a deep dish, and the tree sits on top of it. It is really heavy. I also found the pumpkin candle (trademark Hallmark), which you can see behind the tree. It has never been burned. Floral Candle ring: $1.38
Partylite Candle holder: $2.38
White Pumpkin: $2.38
Pumpkin Candle: $3.38
Snowman Angel: $1.38
Crystal Christmas Tree: $4.38
Fun junkin', contentment and Satisfaction: PRICELESS

  2. You lucked out after all! I meant to hit a thrift store or two Saturday but never made it. I did buy a Featherweight table on Ebay that I've been longing for so all was not lost.
