Carrying Our Cross

Sometimes we complain about the crosses we bear, but we fail to realize those crosses are preparing us for big voids in the road that God can see and we cannot.
------------------------------------------------------
Whatever your cross, whatever your pain,
There will always be sunshine, after the rain....

Perhaps you may stumble, perhaps even fall;
But God's always ready, to answer your call.....

He knows every heartache, sees every tear,
A word from His lips, can calm every fear...

Your sorrows may linger, throughout the night,
But suddenly vanish, by dawn's early light...

The Savior is waiting, somewhere above,
To give you His grace, and send you His love.
And He was saying to them all, "If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. 24For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he is the one who will save it. 25For what is a man profited if he gains the whole world, and loses or forfeits himself? 26For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He comes in His glory, and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. 27But I say to you truthfully, there are some of those standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God." Luke 9:23

  1. So thought provoking...makes me think I should not complain about my life as being hard...it is preparation for the future.

  4. Great illustration of our not letting God do what we ask Him to do! I am so blessd that God has shown me how to "reinvent" myself when my life changes drastically. I have great comfort in that He told us He would not put more on us than we could bear. Thanks for posting this. Good reminder.
