Her husband looked on, but remained silent. Every time her neighbor would hang her wash to dry, the young woman would make the same comments.
About one month later, the woman was surprised to see a nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband, "Look, she has learned how to wash correctly. I wonder who taught her this."
The husband said, "I got up early this morning and cleaned our windows."
What we see when watching others depends on the purity of the window through which we look.1"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. 3"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye. Matthew 7:1-5 Be Blessed!

What a great analogy.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me that oft times we don't have the whole picture about happenings and we think God is not answering our prayer. He sees and knows the complete situation...we just know about our little area.
ReplyDeleteMay God allow me to see more of the good around me...and not complain about things.
Have a Godly weekend!
This is a cute story and a great reminder...
ReplyDeleteGreat illustration of human nature...good reminder. I love the picture!
ReplyDeleteThat is so true! Makes you really stop and think doesn't it?
