Tonight I was looking for my camera to take some pictures of the ‘new to me’ freezer we bought off Craigslist, and while I was downloading the pictures onto my camera, these picnic pictures showed up too. I forgot to bring my camera in from the trunk of the bike, so here they are.
Louie and I went on a ride a couple Sundays ago, but before we did, we threw a sandwich and some chips in the trunk. We stopped at the park in Anamosa to enjoy our lunch and the quietness of the river and park before we ventured on. Here is my sweet Louie acting silly because he knew the camera was on him.
You see we have all the necessities: chips, soda, camera and blackberry phone!
Yesterday afternoon I emailed a man about an upright freezer I found on Craigslist. Today, we looked at it, and picked it up. It was actually about a foot taller than we anticipated, and much nicer. The unit is only three years old. It has a few bumps and dings, but it cleaned up wonderfully. Frigidaire.
It is clean, plugged in, and cooling quite nicely. By 11 pm, the temperature should be where it needs to be. Hmmmm…now we just need to put something in it! (Louie put a small bowl of water in it to see it freeze.)
Other stuff: Louie and I watched an old (1991) movie called ‘Regarding Henry’ with Harrison Ford. We even watched it on VHS. We started watching it last night, but then the lights went out with the storm, so we finished it tonight. We both liked it.
The shed: The old one is rebuilt, but still needs a new roof and new trim pieces, and our new one COULD be here by the end of this week if he can built it before he brings it. If he has to build it on site, it may be another 3 weeks or so.
Have a GREAT Sunday, and a wonderful new week.
Be blessed, Michelle
Looked like that place was a great place for a small picnic.
ReplyDeleteWhat all do you plan on putting in the deep freeze...lots of veggies or fruit?

ReplyDeleteHow fun to be out & enjoy a picnic lunch.
When I get my camera out, my son says, "Look out Dad, you're going to be on the blog!" haha!!
I think I saw that movie Regarding Henry years ago, but I can't remember all its plot (or any of it for that matter, LOL) but I do remember that I liked it. that freezer looks great!! I have sold things on Craigslist and advertised garage sales; it is such a good means to get the message out to people in your area. I bet that freezer will be filled before you know it! love where you had your picnic! very scenic!
ReplyDeletehave a great Sunday :)
betty
We just got a freezer, too - ours was new but the Munchkin is loving the box!!! And it is starting to fill up with the bounty of the garden and the farmer's market.
ReplyDeleteThe picnic looks perfect... makes me want to pack up and go on one myself!
Love picnics. Deb
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the picnic pictures!! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteMichelle somehow I lost your blog address and just now found it again! Your picnic looks wonderful - it's way too hot here to picnic. And I'm jealous of your new freezer. Mine is perfectly adequate but smaller than what I need. Of course whatever I have I just fill up so maybe I'm better off with smaller! blessings, marlene
ReplyDeleteLooks like it was a perfect day for a picnic. As usual, you find the best deals whether it be thrifting or apparently on Craigslist!
