New Year’s Eve Day Office Redo

I have been working on my office all day today. This morning, I decided that my old desk HAD to go. I have been wanting to change my office for a long time, but each time I thought I might, I was overwhelmed, and just dropped. it.

I knew going into it, there was an issue with cracks in the wall and chipping paint by a window. That damage was done before we put in new windows, and I have just been hiding it the best I could, but today I fixed it. I will spare you the details. It wasn’t pretty. Then there was the nail holes that needed filled and the paint touched up.

The rest of the house looks like it blew up (it did!), but the office is in order now. I like it!

Here is what you see when you are entering the office.

My ‘desk’ is two tables butted together in an L shape, with my old sofa table pushed under the left table for more work space. {For those of you who visited and commented before, I just added the sofa table today (Sunday.) It wouldn’t fit under there on Friday when I tried, but today, I took off the feet, and it slid right under. I can even pull it out further if I need more space to work}. I have my shredder under the table, along with my computer tower, speakers, and a few ‘foo foo’s’. On top of the tables I have my printer  to the right of my monitor, and to the left of my monitor, I have my small television, and my copy machine. It’s all cozy. I will have plenty of space to work on other projects, like paying bills with the extra space. (And today, Sunday, I worked on my tax worksheet with LOTS of room to work. It was really nice!)

I still haven’t cleaned out my office closet, but that’s on my list for …’someday’. All I can say is I’m glad the doors will close to hide the mess NOW.

Thanks for visiting and letting me show you my ‘new to me’ office. Change is good, and I hope to make a few more changes in 2011…. and not just rearranging furniture. Wish me luck. I’m not declaring any New Year’s resolutions. I’m just going to do the best I can.

Happy New Year!

Blessings in the year 2011

Michelle
