Shortening Jeans, Etc…

I just shortened two pair of jeans using THIS tutorial.

Can I just say, ‘WOW!!!!!’ ? I have never had an easier time. No cutting off length, just folding, measuring and sewing. (Picture was ‘borrowed’ from tutorial site)

I did add an extra step to my process though. Since I had quite a bit of length to take up, I also sewed around the top of the excess too. I think, otherwise, I would have a lot of fabric ‘flopping’ around on the inside.

Thanks Char for posting this wonderful tutorial!

I added some storage under the quilting frame. I needed storage to have my quilting ‘tool boxes’ and thread, etc close by. I put a bookshelf under the left end, and I found a small little chest of drawers at the Salvation Army for $30. Made ME happy!

  1. I have a pair of jeans right now that need to be hemmed. I have seen other tutorials on hemming them but this one was, by far, the easiest one to follow. Thanks for posting with the link!

  9. I passed this tip to my daughter, and she loved it. She tried to talk me into doing it, but I let her have the feeling of accomplishment.
