Happy Birthday to me, Happy birthday to me….
My hubby bought me a Singer Featherweight last Friday, for my birthday, today. I found it on Craigslist in Cedar Rapids, and we went to pick it up. It is in pristine condition, as is the case. It’s serial number is AM407258, which means that it was born on February 27, 1956, which makes it older than I am. . It just amazes me at how small it is. Here is sits in front of one of my semi-industrial Juki TL98E’s, which has a 9” space from needle to arm and 6” height from the bed to the body.
Here is sits in front of my 3/4 size Singer Spartan….
…and along side a full size iron. Amazingly small and cute.
Happy Birthday! Nice gifty!!

Happy Birthday. This is such a cute, little machine. Have fun playing with it. Hope you had a great day!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations both for your birthday and your lovely gift!
ReplyDeleteHappy happy birthday sweet friend! And you're going to love this machine, I keep mine set up on a small table on the left of my sewing table. I do most piecing on it and everything else on my Janome Horizon. I can piece a block, turn a bit to the right and machine appliqué something on it..a great set up for me. Enjoy! Blessings, Marlene
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! My grandson swears up and down that my featherweight is a toy and I have 2 so he should get to play too.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!! You will love your Featherweight, of course, like you do all your machines. I have one that I take to classes and sewing groups - I inherited it, and I agree, it is the cutest little machine ever!
