Busy Friday

I worked until noon today, came home, visited with Louie for about half an hour, then we went downstairs and set up my quilt frame before he went back to work.  I had a quilt top of Louie’s sister’s that I wanted to quilt for her.  I’m not sure when she made this quilt, but I think it was more than 20 years ago. As I quilted, I also worked on laundry.

quilts 024                                        I used a sheet again for the backing. I just got this sheet a few weeks ago. It was a queen size sheet, and I actually had to remove a few rows of the quilt top so the backing would be long enough.quilts 025

Louie helped me put the frame away, and vacuumed the floor while I put everything else away. While we were working, his sister visited with us.    quilts 035 quilts 036                                        The quilt was nice and soft when finished, and I’ll bet Louie’s sister will sleep tight under this quilt. Quilts seem to do that, you know.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Be blessed,

  3. Boy you did go to town in getting that one quilted...you just went zoom, zoom, and did not stop for stop signs until complted. If you had to remve a couple rows then it was a large one.

  5. It's funny Michelle but the fabrics don't look dated at all to be that old! It's really a pretty quilt and I know she's glad to have it finished. blessings, marlene

  6. I just love that quilt. It reminds me of my 25 year old quilt. Yours is much prettier though. Thank you for the prayers prayed for Maranda & Lane! It was such a sweet wedding. We are headed to the Smokey Mountains in a little while.
