On Saturday May 1st, I was invited to White Pines Forest State Park near Oregon Illinois to have breakfast with some fellow bloggers. We arrived early, so Louie and I cruised the park, and took some pictures. When it was finally time, we found the lodge, where we were to meet. (Louie walked me to the door then went on his own adventure.) There were seven of us, but I only knew one. My friend Lori organized the breakfast and asked me to come. I never imagined how wonderful this experience could be. Everyone was delightful. Each personality was different, and I just couldn’t have imagined how much fun I would have. (Thank you Lori!)
Lori even brought us flowers! We each made our own nametags and each were unique and wonderful. Here is the one I made. I used a pin (fountain pen) I got from Goodwill to attach it. ‘Who’d a known’ when I bought it, how it would be used. Lori made cards for each of us, with our names and blog names. There is one other name on the list, but she was not able to make it. Joyce made mixed media tags for all of us.. …and Suzanne made each of us a little handmade and quilted card holder/wallet. She even put a penny in each one! I love it, Suzanne. Thank you so much! The food was great, but the conversations were free flowing and wonderful. Everyone was so friendly! I met six wonderful people that I hope to stay friends and connect with again and again. You may need to click the picture (courtesy of Debbie) to get a better look, but going left to right around the table, is Shelly, Joyce, Suzanne, me, Lori, Debbie, and Angela.
Our breakfast lasted about two hours. Thank you girls, for the wonderful time. I hope to do this again sometime! Meanwhile, I’ll be stalking your blogs!
Be blessed! Michelle
