A Good Day Junkin’

Well, after purchasing this Euro Pro Flat Iron (knowing nothing about them --no manual), and reading ‘not so good reviews’, I’m not sure if it was a good purchase or not, but I will consider the price paid a good donation to Goodwill if it was a ‘flop’.

(Note the fabric under the iron (1yard  88Cents)…also a FUN Goodwill find!)

I did pretty good on books though! I found these at the American Veteran’s store.

I really felt like I hit the jackpot today when I found the quilting books, and they will be a nice addition to my quilting library.

Oh…and I found a pre-quilted (cheater) baby quilt panel ($2.45) and some matching fabric (1 yard  65Cents)….and some red and white fabric (2 yards  95Cents).

What did you do today?

Be blessed and have a wonderful rest of the weekend.

  2. You really scored on the books...they will be fun to look through even if you don't make anything from them.

Yesterday stopped at garage sale - picked up a couple of Mikasa Crystal pieces...one is clear with a Christmas scene...the other is a red candle holder...then three 5 items to be used for decorations after Christmas and before Valentine's day...they are all snowmen...which was what I wanted to use for decorations during this period.

  3. Great loot!!

I'd try the iron but wouldn't suggest giving the steam part much of a chance. Plus it would probably end up leaking over time.

I didn't go shopping but was a judge for the 4-H fair today. Then getting my own fair entries ready for tomorrow.

  6. Lots of great finds!!! I see you will also be watching some more movies soon. :) I also love the baby panel, it is so cute. I haven't been "junking" lately. I think I need a fix real soon!!!

I got a new computer, and have been putting all my programs on it. So, that filled my Saturday lol.

  7. Great find!! I love quilt books. Hope the iron is a good one. I finally purchased a Rowenta and love it! I can't sit still long enough to watch a movie unless I fall asleep, it has to be a very good one. I am quilting a "12 Days of Christmas" by Nancy Halvorsen for a lady today. Lots of stitches in this quilt. Hope you have a Great Day!
