De-Cluttering—Part 2

Friday and Saturday I worked on de-cluttering my kitchen. To do a comparison, click HERE to see a few pictures of how it used to look.

The first picture is of the wall that used to be covered, with not much space in-between objects. I took everything down, filled all the holes, and repainted the wall, then put up much less than was originally there. Ahhhh….feels so much better.

The next picture shows that I took down the pot rack. I’m loving the big wide open clean look there too, and the second photo below is taken looking into the kitchen from the top of the basement steps, right inside the house from our garage. I took a few things off the counter, and took everything except the birdhouse and floral down that was hanging above the kitchen sink.

This view is just a shot of the counter on the sink side of the kitchen. I put Scott’s Liquid Gold on my cupboard fronts, and they look MUCH better.  The second photo shows my bare NAKED refrigerator (lovin’ it). It had a framed picture on the door, and a serving basket and plate attached to the side right next to the coffee pot….and the coffee pot is lonely now too, because I took it’s companions away and put them in the cupboard. Did you notice my fence is off the wall under the big mirror? Tomorrow, I am going to de-clutter the INSIDE of my kitchen cupboards and start filling the van up  again. I’m LOVIN’ my de-cluttered kitchen!

I minimized a little bit in my hallway outside of the bathroom too. I took framed prints, and objects off the wall. Louie and I both painted a coat of white paint on the doorbell cover, and I moved a few things around.

So, Louie and I made a trip to Goodwill today and donated what I have removed so far. Goodwill was VERY happy to see us! We filled two big rolling bins.

When we got back to town, we went for a little motorcycle ride. We were gone about an hour and a half, and it was just the perfect ride. Stay tuned! The bathroom is next!

Be blessed!

For some reason that's the one place where I don't like things on show, the kitchen. I love empty worksurfaces.
