I got the binding put on the last two Quilts For Kids quilts, then washed and dried yesterday. I didn’t get much else done. As soon as the rest of the girls get theirs finished, they are ready to be sent back.
I took a few vacation days this week to have some time to myself and to get a few projects done.
Another project on my list was to bake a couple banana cakes from my ‘too ripe’ bananas. I made one about a month ago, and put it in the freezer. I wanted to know how that would work out, once thawed. A few weeks later, I frosted it while frozen, with cream cheese frosting, then tried out this new recipe. YUM! The freezer is where these will go too.
Before I started baking, I decided to try a trick I had never tried, on my stainless coffee pot carafe (part of my coffee maker). I filled it with hot water, then dropped in about six denture cleaner tablets. I let it soak for a few hours, then scrubbed it with a scrubber sponge (on a stick), and it cleaned up nicely.
Three quilts, three projects!
Have a great week!
Michelle

ReplyDeletecool idea about freezing the cake! I have frozen small pieces but never the whole one. They look yummy too!! Glad you had a few days to get some projects done!

Doesn't it feel good to get a bunch accomplished? Although, sometimes, it feels good to "just be."
