Last weekend, Louie and his pool pals went to Atlantic, Iowa to their annual team tournament. They always have so much fun, and this year, they came home 3rd place winners out of about 30 teams.
While Louie was gone, I was having my own fun! Some wonderful ladies from Illinois who I had met through blogging invited me to a Craft Retreat Friday afternoon through Saturday afternoon. I was thrilled to be invited and juggled some appointments so I could go. The weather was beautiful, and we had a lot of fun! I met four new friends, and had a wonderful time. Click HERE and HERE to read all about it! I haven’t even downloaded my pictures from my camera yet! Shame on me.
Monday through Thursday was back to work. Thursday night, I got a lot of my laundry washed and dried, but not folded. Friday was a busy day, but I didn’t have to work, (YIPPEE!!) so I slept LATE!!! Woo hoo!!!! We went to the bank at noon, and then we ordered our new furnace.
I wasn’t home long, before I went to the dentist and got my two new fillings….
Believe it or not, that pretty much wore me out, and I don’t think I got much more accomplished.
Saturday, I had coffee (and breakfast) with my friend Christie. Louie worked til noon, the went to a pool tournament. I left from the restaurant and headed to my sister’s house for lunch and a day of junkin’. I didn’t find a whole lot, but it was good to spend time with her. The weather turned bad, the cars were getting iced over, and the highways were getting slippery, so I headed home. Louie and I watched ‘Absolute Power’ on dvd (again…just a ‘few’ (grin) years behind release date, but a good movie…) and then I finished reading ‘When The Soul Mends’ on my nook, and called it a night.
Sunday….today….where did the time go? Let’s see….well, there was housework, laundry to fold, mending, vacuuming, figuring the checkbook, paying bills, shredding junk mail and old receipts, filling up my 7 day daily meds pill containers for a whole month, and doing the same for my supplemental vitamins, and all the little things I did in between that I just can’t seem to recall. The evening is near, and now, it is time for me to go sit in my chair and read or watch tv, and hope I don’t fall asleep, but if I do, well, I guess that’s ok too.
I hope your weekend was wonderful, and I pray your week is full of blessings!
Michelle

ReplyDeleteFirst of all - Congratulations to Louie and his pals for their win. Who knows, maybe next year they will take first.
ReplyDeleteYou did put in some very busy days...work and fun too!
Have a great week!
Oh Congrats to Louie and the guys. How fun. And I am proud for you to have some "Me" time too. Sounds like so much fun. We are so much alike. It sounds like you squeeze the work in so you can hurry and do something fun! Love you girl.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors of your new blog background. One suggestion. Needs a darker border around the name of your blog. I think that would really make it stand out. I especially love the rick-rack on the edges and the flower with the button. I am still trying to decide if I want to start a blog. Afraid I don't have anything to thrilling to say.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Louie & gang!
ReplyDeleteAnd it was great to spend some time with you. We need to do it again soon!
