This week, we had to buy a new battery for our Ford Edge.
This morning, our Lennox Service Man told us we need a new furnace, but it can wait until spring. The heat exchanger is terminal.
This afternoon, my dentist told me I have TWO cavities (seen on xrays), AFTER I told him to NOT poke any holes in my teeth!
But, do you know what? Louie and I are healthy, we are blessed to have jobs, and life just isn’t that bad. There’s nothing we can do about these situations except fix them, so fix them we will. We feel blessed that we can take care of ourselves.
Hoping you feel blessed too. Have a great weekend!
Michelle
OHHHHHH, I feel for you. I think the worst for me would be the cavities. Butttttt the furnace would be the most expensive. I feel your pain!
ReplyDeleteI agree things could be worse...the dryer is having issues, computer monitor died, and then the microwave heated for the last time.
ReplyDeleteOn a good note the dryer is under a maintenance contract...so that won't cost me anything. As for the monitor and the microwave we have the money to pay for those. God is great.
These things happen ,glad you have such a great attitude about it .Watch that furnace the same thing happened to my daughter at Christmas because of the holidays they were a week without heat ,thank God they have a real fireplace .
ReplyDeleteSending super big Hugs your way Michelle!!! Take some comfort in knowing that you're not alone--boy, I'm ready for spring!
ReplyDeleteLove your quote at the end---so true!
Ack! Good thing tomorrow is the weekend!! :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a great attitude. Someone was complaining the other day about something very trivial. I had just left the hospital seeing my friend that has been there since Dec. 20th. It really made me stop and think about what is really important. I love your attitude. We are all so blessed.
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend, Michelle! You have such a great attitude. It really could be worse. God is good!
ReplyDeleteIt seems to me that the old saying "when it rains it pours" is usually true. If the oven quits working so does the washer and vice versa. I think they secretly whisper to each other in the middle of the night! blessings, marlene
ReplyDeleteI agree, it could be MUCH worse. Monday, Louie could have found the dead battery in Blue Grass at the funeral home, or cemetary, I could have had the flat tire when I was far from home by myself, instead of at work, where I had lots of people who could help me, the furnace could have pooped out completely without ANY warning, leaving us cold, and my teeth.....well, darn it all...I could be toothless, but I have a dentist who will make me almost as good as new. I am thanking God I have the resources to take care of all of these problems (or at least people who will lend me credit!) Praises going up to our loving Father for taking such good care of us!
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed weekend, all of you, and thank you all for your kind words!
Michelle
well, you win the good attitude award! i'm
ReplyDeleteglad you have the resources for all these
repairs. i have been postponing a trip to
the dentist for much too long!
We all have those times when it seems like everything is falling apart at the same time. Glad you are able to think positive and not let it get you down. I guess Murphy's law applies to us all.
