Dutch Breeze Blocks

Today was a PJ day for me. Louie had plans to go to a meeting, and I made myself comfortable downstairs with the dvd player. I finished sewing my Dutch Breeze blocks together, then I sewed the blocks into rows. The rows are not sewn together yet, but here is the layout of my new quilt. It is 9 blocks wide by 10 blocks long. I don’t think I will be adding any borders to it. I think I will quilt it, then bind it just the way it is. quilt top 001

I have six blocks leftover. I’m not sure what I will be doing with these yet, but I’ll do something.

While I sewed, I watched Prancer…..

The Christmas Blessing….it was the first time I had seen this. It is the sequel to Christmas Shoes. Very good, and I give it 3 sobs. (sniff, tears).

and The Polar Express.

It’s time to wind down and think about going to bed. Tomorrow starts another long week at work. I am thankful, but wish I had more ‘me’ time.

Have a great week!

  2. Love the quilt! I am jealous that you got to watch Christmas movies and quilt. I didn't get as much done as I wanted today but hopefully next Sunday I can watch movies also.

Thanks for the movie info. I have never seen your tear jerker. I will have to get it. I love sentimental movies... especially Christmas ones.

Have a good week. Hugs, Lura

  5. Good looking quilt. How about a table topper or runner with the leftovers?
