I Think I Need to Call Ryan!

serge

Actually……………it’s out of the box!

The instruction manual has been read, and the instruction disc has been viewed!

Now I just have to plug it in, and try it. I do want to put cones of thread on it first, and I guess that is intimidating me a bit, but I have read how to ‘tie on’ and pull threads through, so maybe I just need to go do that. Maybe I should just go serge something with the thread that is already on it. Ok…I’m building up my courage…..

Be blessed,

Michelle

Deuteronomy 31:6

6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

  1. DO tie the threads on and pull, MUCH easier. I didn't know that when I bought mine and like to never got mine re-threaded. That is the #1 reason people with sergers don't use them, they are difficult to thread. I learned that from a guest speaker at guild who sells machines. She sells self-threading ones now so if I ever replace mine I'll check into those, although I bet they cost a lot more. Good luck with your first experience in serging! They're great little machines. :)

  2. lol, The lady with 100 sewing machines has a new, scary version! I'm happy for you and your new acquisition. I've sewn on one for a dozen years, they are a necessity for garment sewing, I'm telling ya. Write me if I can help...the biggest problem is threading, definitely tie on when possible!

  3. Come on Lady, you can do it...as for the threading - it can be a pain but if you follow the directions correctly it will work...tie on is the way to go...if at all possible...come on in the water is wet but you can be successful.

  4. I like the Scripture you listed, Michelle. It is one of my favorites! It is hard to start doing something new like this, I am sure! But you are so talented, I bet once you get the hang of it, you will just love sergering along (is that a word, sergering??)
