I have been working on sewing machines again for The Sewing Machine Project, and getting more ready to go.
Here is one of two Singer 237’s that will be heading North probably in October. The 237’s are very nice machines. This particular model was made in Italy. This model is also popular, because it can actually be mounted in a treadle cabinet and can be run with the treadle mechanism (after you remove the motor and belt, of course).
It sews very nice stitches.
I actually was thinking about keeping this machine, but if the stars align just right sometime in the future, I will find another one…I mean, it’s not like I NEED another machine!
Nice looking machine! I'm sure you will find one to keep...someday soon.

The 237 is one of my favorite models too. Far as I know they were all made in Italy. Sylistically it looks like one of the lighter weight (and lesser quality) Singers, but it is a tank and a real workhorse. I've got 5 right now, because I keep finding them for $10 and I just can't say no!
