The Sewing Machine Project Delivery #2

Today we made our second trip to deliver 21 more machines to The Sewing Machine Project. We made sure the air pressure in the tires was correct, and off we went. We headed out at 7:30 AM, and made our delivery just a little after 11 AM. Louie and I, and my brother Jack went this time, and my friend KT.

These are the machines that went today. There are 16 machines pictured below, but there were five more machines brought by my brother and SIL Jack and Polly, that were loaded and not photographed.

When we arrived, we unloaded the machines and waited for the door to be unlocked so we could carry them inside. Last time we delivered machines, many were not in cases. This time, I wanted them all to be in cases, mainly so it would be easier to load them in the van, and for them to ride more securely. Margaret told us that she really appreciated that they were in cases. She says many of the people who are given machines, do not have their own transportation, so many ride busses back to their homes. Cases would make it much easier for them.

Here I am with the machines we brought today, in front of me. Margaret Jankowski is just such a wonderful person. She gave us all hugs, and made us feel so special. It feels so good to know that we are helping those less fortunate. A lot of the machines that are donated to the SMP still need to be checked over and serviced. Margaret is always so appreciative, and she marks out a special place for ours, as all of our machines are serviced by myself and Louie, and my brother and SIL Jack and Polly. She knows ours are ready ‘to go’. It is always so good to see Margaret and to hear the wonderful things she is doing and to hear of the people she has touched, but she does not take the credit. She gives all the credit to God.

God bless you, Margaret! Thank you for letting us be a part of your wonderful project.

So what did we do after we dropped off the machines? Well, we went junkin’, of course! We have one machine as ‘seed’ for the ‘next trip’ already. Smile

In a day or two, I’ll show you some of the other ‘stuff’ I bought. I MAY have bought another sewing machine for me! Rolling on the floor laughing
