Double Hourglass Blocks

I sewed the rest of my blocks today. I didn’t count how many I had left before I started, but I spent the majority of today sewing, and I think I sewed between 15 and 18 blocks. There are a total of 72 blocks, and the layout is 8 blocks across, and 9 blocks down. When it is all sewn together and the seam allowances are subtracted, this flimsy should measure approximately 62.5” x 70.25”. The jury is still out on whether it will get a narrow white border next to the blocks, then some kind of a scrappy border, or whether it gets a white border and a scrappy binding. Right now, I’m pooped. That will be a decision for another day.

  4. I love it! I think I may have to add that one to my list. What size are your blocks? Well, I guess I could figure out the math and find out. LOL! I love that the darker blocks also give it a secondary design.

Have a wonderful and Blessed day
