It’s been over a year now since I bought my Nook from Barnes and Noble. I wasn’t much of a reader before that, but I LOVE my Nook, and I read every day at work on my breaks and over my lunch break. Sometimes I get a chance to read over the weekend. Whenever I have an appointment somewhere, my Nook is with me. It calms me at the Drs office (White coat syndrome), and it passes the time when I have to wait. Now it’s not a big deal when I say to hubby, ‘You go ahead, I’ll wait in the car.’ He’s back before I know it!
One of the things I love about my Nook, is all the FREE books I have downloaded. I have bought some, but the majority of the books I read are free ones. Every Friday, Barnes and Noble have what they call Free Friday and they feature a book and give it away. Ok, now you think there’s a hitch, right? Well. Sometimes.
Last week, I downloaded a book called Bring On The Blessings by Beverly Jenkins. I have really enjoyed reading that book this week. In fact, I’m almost finished with it.
I just checked to see what other books this woman wrote, because I love this book. OH! There’s more??? This is a ‘Blessings’ series! There are two more books that go with this one, to continue with the story, plus a new one coming out in April! Yippee!!!! I guess I would have found that out shortly, when I got to the end of this one.
What did you say? OH! Well, of course I bought them!!!
I’ll wait and buy the last one later, since it’s still a Pre-Order at this point.
If you’re looking for a good, clean, inspirational story, check out ‘Bring On The Blessings’ by Beverly Jenkins. You don’t have to buy a Nook, or any ebook reader. Maybe your library has it. It’s a good one!
Have a wonderful Friday, and a fantastic weekend!
Michelle
I got that book when it was free on Kindle Michelle and I thought it was great too. I didn't realize there were others though...better check those out! blessings, marlene
ReplyDeleteI am going to be looking for these books at our library. Thanks for suggesting this author.
ReplyDeleteI have Kindle and a Kindle Fire which my husband prefers. He plays on his Kindle with the bells and whistles and I read. I love reading too and find too little time to read all the books (free and inexpensive) I've collected. The thing I most appreciate is the library of long gone authors I never knew about. Some great detective, mystery, gothic and suspense writers, along with great humor and love stories. Isn't it fun?
