The Sewing Machine Project Delivery

A total of 21 machines and a bag of fabric, bobbins and needles were loaded in the van and we headed north about 7:45am. My brother Jack and my sisterinlove Polly went with us. They are such fun company! They brought three machines and the fabric and bobbins.

Sewing Machine Project 001

We arrived at the SMP headquarters about 11:30pm, as planned (we did stop for breakfast and a St. Vincent’s thrift shop on the way….WHAAAAAAT???? Embarrassed smile)

Meeting Margaret was SUCH a pleasure. She had a vision when she started The Sewing Machine Project, and God just kept putting people in her path to help realize that vision. I wish I could have recorded her story to retell, but I’m not good with that kind of thing, so you’ll just have to take my word for it. Her vision was a divine calling, and He continues to lead her along every step of the way.

Now make sure you look closely, because I don’t post pictures of myself often, and I want you to know just how lucky you are now, to see this one. Just sayin….

Here’s the picture Margaret took of the four of us.

Margaret will be making a blog post of her own, and when she does, I will direct you to her version of our meeting. We all came away from it feeling so totally blessed. Thank you Margaret!!!! You can go to her BLOG now, and jump around. There are many pictures to look at, and you will see the miracles that are happening through this project.

Ps. We picked up FOUR more sewing machines on the way back home, and my friend is bringing me one today from lady a who donated it to the project. Now tell me God doesn’t put things in our path!  I dare you!

  8. Isn't it neat to see how God works in things like this? I bet when she first started, she had the vision, but she didn't know how it would play out and bit by bit God opened doors for her, brought people in her live, etc, and what an incredible blessing her project is and how blessed everyone is who is part of contributing to it, like you and your family :) Just awesome. Will go and check out her blog :)

loved the pictures of you all too!

  12. Michelle, thank you so much to you and Lou for blessing others in this way. I have been in impoverished areas on mission trips and I know that something like this would be a huge blessing.
